My students are hard workers who love to learn and improve every day. They ask inquiring questions and help each other become successful in understanding their lessons. When they are fully engaged, it is a sight to see because they are busy and bustling throughout the classroom, working on different activities that help improve their word work skills through fun activities. They love stamps, but another one of their favorite activities is making words in different ways. Using color coded connecting cubes is another fun and engaging way for many students to do their word work, improve fine motor skills, and encourage the responsibility of using the color coded cubes that would help them with different word skills.
My Project
My students love using their hands to help them learn. When they can be active and have discussions with friends, learning is fun and meaningful.
With color coded letter connecting cubes, each student can actively learn in a multisensory way at his or her own level!
The three different sets of connecting blocks will differentiate their learning opportunities by allowing students to build CVC words, as well as practice building words with digraphs, blends, vowel teams, and silent e! Who wouldn't want to spell with blocks?
Because each child learns in different ways and with different senses, it just makes sense to allow this fun choice for word work!
