I have a classroom full of enthusiastic learners! We love to move and work together to complete our tasks each day.
My students are fun-loving and passionate learners.
For many of my kids, school is their one constant and place of security. We love to actively learn all day long. We work together to grow every day. We are a community of learners!
About 50% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. We live in a rural community in Western Colorado. I hope to be able to further expose them to the world of learning.
My Project
My first graders learn best through hands-on activities. We spend a lot of our time in math playing games using manipulatives. We work on our number sense, counting, addition and subtraction.
These linking cubes will ensure that we have enough materials in our classroom to allow all children to actively participate in their own learning.
The special design of the cubes allows for easier counting by children who are just learning to add and subtract. We can stack our cubes into groups of ten to help us better visualize tens and ones.
Math is such an important subject for my young students, and I want all of them to be successful in learning the foundational skills that will stay with them for a lifetime. Together with your support, I can help my dedicated learners become more engaged in their own education.
