Limitless Creativity in the Art Room!

Help me give my students the opportunity to create artwork with materials other than paper. We will create 3-D wood pieces and begin using clay in a classroom that has never had access to clay in years.

My Project

Students at my school site are extremely intelligent and curious and frequently get the short end of the stick in terms of opportunities. They get so excited when they see materials that they knew were out there but they have never used. In years past, the Art Room fell into a routine of drawing activities only.

The artists at my school site are capable of, and interested in, so much more.

They deserve to sink their hands into clay, hammer away at wood, and construct art that feels meaningful to them. This age is the age when they need, and deserve, to imagine anything and everything is possible.

Wood, clay and paint is only the beginning of the exciting options out there for them, but it opens the door to a life that has a possibility of being 3-D and no longer contained.
