My students are a diverse and wonderfully-weird group of kids. Within a single class it's not uncommon to find a handful of amateur YouTubers, a smattering of gamers, and a few kids that are legitimately funny enough to be writers on SNL.
Though their differences are many, the one thing they have in common is their creativity.
I'm telling you, the brains on these kids is something to be seen. Every year brings new challenges, but I'm so excited to begin shooting and editing with my film classes.
My Project
As the film class, our job is to highlight the different students, staff, and activities we have here on campus. This involves making short films, conducting interviews, writing and recording commercials, and a variety of other tasks. The film program is armed with the necessary cameras to get the job done, but we need our voices to be heard.
We are in need of a few additional microphones and other accessories in order to conduct interviews and voice-over work properly.
This will allow us to HEAR the voices of the whole student body and staff at our middle school and to make our own voices HEARD.
