My Students

As a teacher in a low income school district, I do all that I can to make learning fun for my students. I love to make their space a place that they love to come to. They all come to school for different reasons - some to learn, but others come for so much more than that. This is their safe place. This is the place where they can build relationships. We are a classroom family!

Each student excels in different areas and we accept everyone's differences!

Students love working in groups around the room. They enjoy moving around the classroom. They get excited to use their laptops during lessons. They set goals for themselves and work hard to achieve them. We make mistakes and face hurdles while trying to achieve goals, but we help each other through challenges. The experiences they have during the school year will stick with them throughout their lives!

My Project

We would like a document camera in our classroom. We can use it for many things in our room. It will be helpful when I am modeling how to write and edit our writing. It will also be great to show how to properly use math manipulatives. Since our building does not have an art teacher, it would come in handy when demonstrating how to complete an art project.

We currently gather around a table for demonstrations, but there are always students who can not see well.

I know this would solve our problem and every student would be able to see what they need.
