My Students

"All the world's a stage" and what better way for students to show what they have learned than to act it out?

My students attend a public charter school in Nevada.

They are bright, curious thinkers who enjoy projects and presentations to show their learning. They are creative and thoughtful and would really enjoy having a new skill to present their knowledge in the classroom.

My Project

I am looking for a simple camera that is easy for students to operate. I want them to be able to shoot a video and then use basic software to edit the video. Once students are able to do this, the possibilities for their monthly reading projects will be as endless as their imagination. I envision them creating newscasts about historical events or music videos about a math topic. My students need 2 video cameras to make video recordings during our technology class.

This project will help students to think about how they can share their knowledge with the while class.

They won't need to rely on PowerPoint alone when making a presentation. The students will also be able to edit video to make cohesive clips. The sense of pride a student feels when they can share their work with the whole class is priceless.
