Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Did you ever know someone who could have been a star if they had just had a break? My school fills that gap bringing world-class education, clinicians, and experiences to high-need, ultra-talented students. The guitar students at our school have the opportunity to major in guitar and experience all that this amazing instrument has to offer. From classical to contemporary, songwriting to sound recording, our goal is to have students express their art without limitations. Our program has won international awards from the Guitar Foundation of America and the Augustine Foundation, and our students have been featured in Soundboard Magazine and onstage at Austin City Limits.

To help this program is to be a facilitator of dreams.

I visited a couple of our students studying at the same top-tier university and they asked me, "Did you know this was going to happen?" I always believed in their ability to achieve, but I know their success would not have been possible without the help of many. Thank you for considering supporting our program.

My Project

Video has become an essential part of daily education. Virtual concerts, daily lessons, tutorials, and many competitions now have a video component. Because most music instructional videos involve modeling of technique, the ability to provide high quality resolution is of the upmost importance.

This camera allows for capturing performance in 4k and also allowing the concerts to be streamed live.

The long term goal is to acquire three high quality cameras in total so we can offer multiple angles for instruction and performance. Thank you for considering supporting our program!
