My students are hard-working, curious, and bright. They are interested in the world around them. In class, they are constantly asking, "What if..." or "How could we change this?" They are brilliant scholars, and their hard work deserves to be seen.
The skill levels in my classroom are quite varied.
Our school's population includes a large percentage of English language learners and students with special needs. My goal is to provide a rigorous academic curriculum that meets students where they are at and pushes them to master the skills and content in my classroom.
My Project
The students in my AP Seminar class are asked to give a team multimedia presentation and individual multimedia presentation. Both of these presentations need to be recorded and send to the College Board.
My students go through many dress rehearsal rounds of their presentations, and spend time watching and reflecting on different aspects of their presentation.
It is often hard to hear the audio with my current film and audio equipment. Having a better microphone and tripod will allow students to hear the audio and make better use of the videos taken of their practice presentations. Higher video quality also means that other teachers can use these videos as exemplars in their classrooms.
