Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is made up of 18 eager to learn students. This is many of my students' first time in a school setting. My students live in a community that is a high needs, low-income area made up of hard-working parents who set amazing examples for their children. Many of the students do not have access to computers or updated technology at home.
My students want to learn and develop and understand what school is about while having fun.
With support, I will be able to bring in new, innovative ways to keep my students engaged.
With our school losing close to a million dollars from the school budget for the 2018-2019 school year, we need your help now more than ever!
My Project
I am asking for are to help my students learn about light, darkness and the role that light has in our lives. I am asking for objects to use with our light table, flashlights and learning kits to help us explore light.
With your generous donation my students will be able to see how light effects our everyday lives and how important it is to our existence.
. They will learn about how lights work in their houses, they will learn how light helps plants grow and even about their shadows.
My students will learn about light and darkness through play and experiments.
