I'm a second year teacher at a new K-8 charter school and we are very passionate about our students. We are still gathering supplies to help aid our students, and we all have huge dreams for them.
My students have so much creativity, and they have so many ideas, but I can only do so much to make their creativity a reality.
I am new to teaching middle school this year and I am also teaching a journalism class. We have transformed this journalism class into our school news program, and the students are so excited to create their scripts and record the news for the whole school.
My students are all so different in their learning styles, and they are extremely bright and curious about the world we live in. Having this news program has really opened their eyes to the community, and I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to be their teacher and help them to see the world around them.
My students would love to use these items to give them an authentic experience in journalism, and they are all interested in pursuing it as a career. The video camera will give us the ability to be able to record our newscast, and the lighting equipment will help my students that are interested in learning more about how essential it is during a newscast. I also have several students interested in microphones and the lapel mics will help students to see how it works properly for a broadcast.
All of my students will be able to use this equipment to make broadcasting more successful, and they will learn so many great skills from using it as well.
My students would greatly appreciate anything you can help donate!
