This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classes are filled with bright, energetic, fun-loving students. They have a lot of pride in their city and school even if they just moved here.

All of these students have learned English as their second language, and many of them are brand-new to this country.

However, language is not a barrier when they walk into my classroom. They know that they are loved and supported even if we don't say those words out loud.

Most of my students have not had any formal education in their first language. It is my job to make sure that they get the foundational English language skills that they need to catch up to their peers to grow and expand their knowledge from there.

My Project

Our school is actively working to rebrand ourselves. Three of the teachers at our school have been selected to serve as Public Relations Organizers (PROs.) In accepting the role of a PRO, we are actively striving to put our school’s name and reputation in the limelight!

We need a high-quality camera to capture the WONDERFUL things that happen at our school.

From student concerts, dance competitions/performances, holiday programs, field days, festivals, and everyday happenings that make Sharpe the excellent school that it is.

This camera will help the PRO team to bring a new flair to Sharpe and our presence on social media! Please consider donating to our scholars!
