Lights Camera, Action With Rasberry Pi and Maker Space

Help me close the achievement gap for my low-income/high poverty students who will not have the chance to experience many STEAM skills if not at school. School-wide data shows that students from socioeconomically disadvantaged families score lower than students from more affluent homes. Most of my students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite these difficulties, I am endeavoring to create an environment for my students to foster the 21st Century Skills including collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and innovation through creative and standard based learning experiences.
While my students are imaginative, bright and very spontaneous, they desperately need makerspace supplies to be able to experience authentic real world learning.
They are extremely creative and love a challenge, it is amazing how innovative their ideas were for allowing senior citizens to live health happy lives. Almost 90% of these children receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status; however, from the minute they step inside the door of my classroom, I concentrate on their potential and growth during the school day. Without a doubt, I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can guide their experience at school.
My Project
My students love to tinker and create new inventions. They have a Rasberry Pi3 but they need tools and supplies to make full use of the Rasberry pi. The additional supplies will all students to explore circuits and electromagnets as they work in a makerspace with the new storage areas.
Makerspace to the rescue for students who think outside the box as they create projects including robots, Rasberry Pi, squishy circuits, paper circuits, and electric motors in unique creations.
Even though about 80 & of the students qualify for free lunches, it does not dampen their spirits or desire to learn.
They thrive in my room where they are allowed to collaborate on project based learning that requires critical thinking and problem solving skills. They are only limited by the lack of supplies to but their ideas in action.
