Our Broadcasting Team consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders that have an interest in spreading the news. Broadcasting members are expected to maintain passing grades and good behavior. Even though the students come from different educational backgrounds and grade levels, they are expected to cooperate and work together as a team.
The Broadcasting team is a very important asset to our school.
Broadcasting members are responsible for gathering and displaying information throughout our school. They design and create several bulletin boards, record and photograph important school events, design and maintain a broadcasting website, and help keep the school clean.
My Project
Our broadcasting students are given the task to design and develop a morning video program. This program is uploaded to our website to be broadcast throughout our school. Our backdrop is currently an off-white brick wall. Over the years students have designed and painted several different backgrounds to enhance our videos. After researching ways to improve our backgrounds, the students began to research green screens.
Having a green screen will increase participation and creativity in our broadcasting program.
A green screen and lighting would enhance our video production. We have the software to use, but we don't have the green screen our lighting to improve our production. Adding a green screen would give our students access to software programs that are currently used in the "Real World" applications.
