Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a teacher in a low income school, some of my students face challenges outside of our class. When they are in my class, I try my best to create a learning environment where all my students feel welcomed and successful. I strive to make my classroom a place where students WANT to be instead of a place they HAVE to be.
My third graders are enthusiastic learners who demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways.
With your help, I can continue to keep my lessons fun, creative, meaningful, and engaging.
My Project
I love presenting material in a fun and engaging way. One way I do this is by creating room transformations. A room transformation is when I transform my room for a time, and students complete work based on that theme. I would like to add these lights to create a more engaging environment for our lessons and room transformations.
These lights can be used to help transform our ordinary classroom to a top secret spy headquarters.
There are other ways I can use the lights. For example, I will use the black lights and disco ball lights for Neon Day, Glow Day, Secret Agent Day, Dinosaur Day, Space Day or any other day that I can use these to help my lesson POP. These lights help create an environment where students are excited to learn. Just by switching on these lights, our classroom and lessons can be transformed into something amazing!
