As most of you know, schools are just starting to reopen. Families are excited to send their children back to school. This coronavirus pandemic has changed everything for our families, students, and teachers and it's time to get back to our "normal".
My school is at a high poverty rate.
Many of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunches. These students work hard academically and behaviorally despite some hardships they may have had to get through these past few years. Not only has the pandemic been rough on us all, but the transition from elementary to middle school is not always the easiest. However, the students are resilient and are overcoming all the obstacles thrown in their way!
The lights in our classroom are harsh on the eyes. I keep the light switched dimmed to limit headaches and distractions.
LED lights and light filters would bring a sense of calmness to our room.
My students have seen other classrooms that have these LED lights and are constantly asking when we will get these for our classroom. The LED light strips will add some color and flair to our classroom. It will make it more inviting and middle school friendly. LED lights are a huge hit with students. LED lights to make the space more inviting, welcoming, and comfortable.
