My students are amazing! They live in a low economic rural area but don't let that stop their opportunity to dream and succeed. They amaze me every day by learning both online and in-person during these challenging times. They are becoming life long learners and constantly ask questions to make their learning more meaningful. They show up every day ready to catch their dreams. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, many classrooms are in a remote learning environment. This will be a new approach to teaching that will surely present many challenges as well as opportunities to innovate. Having choices in the setting, safety, and content will be beneficial to all the needs of our students. Students will be able to bloom socially, emotionally, and academically with this new platform.
Students and families (K-12) and teachers will be working together to do whatever it takes to learn this year!
My Project
Mindfulness, yoga and even regular class time transitions creates physical chaos when teaching from home. The students are having a hard time seeing items that I am using or things I am doing.
I will be able to instruct more freely and students will have a successful outcome during this time.
I won't have to prop my laptop up on crates for students to see. The laptop desk, lights and wireless keyboard will allow me to adjust my laptop and monitor accordingly so students will be able to see without any problems.
We will be able to relax and reduce stress more with soft LED lights, a more quieting and comforting mood will be induced and feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation, and suicidal thoughts will be reduced with these softer lights. Online meetings will improve. These lights will help me provide more care and warmth to my students! Materials will be able to be used in the classroom when we return to face to face learning.
When these stressful effects are reduced, learning increases, and their grades and performance will be enhanced.
