Help me give my students a giant treehouse, light table, furniture set, play families, design shapes, sensory paint, and other items that they can use to help grow and learn each and every day!
Pre-K is the stage where all students begin to prepare for Kindergarten and their education. Our program strives to help underprivileged children with access to an educational setting before Kindergarten.
Of my 18 amazing students, 3 of them currently have IEPs (Individualized Education Program) for speech and developmental delays, which will be increasing as the screenings continue.
We work hard every day in my classroom to make sure our students have a safe place to come to. Students look forward to coming to school every day and we hope to continue that throughout the years to come.
My Project
Each and every day my students are engaged in free play. By receiving a light table and dollhouse with accessories, it would allow my students to have access to items they do not have access to at home. Many of my students come from low-income families. These students would benefit greatly from playing with a light table by being able to test out different objects and how they have shadows. The students would also love to have a giant treehouse with the doll set and furniture so they can role play and act out different scenarios. We will use our imagination in so many different ways! We also could use art supplies - like sensory paint and shape hole punchers to complete art projects that will help with our fine motor skills! If my classroom receives any of the items on our list, our students would be so grateful and full of joy. They would treat the materials with care as they have learned throughout the beginning of the year.
