My students walk into my classroom every morning excited, full of energy, and eager to learn! I have 18 boys and girls who love to learn while playing. I want them to know that I believe in them, care for them, and always keep their best interest at heart!
My students are spunky, bright and fun-loving four and five-year-olds!
We are located in a rural, southeastern town. Our school ranges in grades from PreK to 5th grade. We are a close community and love making dreams come true!
My Project
A light table with sensory accessories will be a major asset to our early childhood classroom. Young children often need sensory to help deal with their emotions, whether upset or excited. This table will be a great way for upset students to calm down when needed or others to simply play and explore the textures. We will place the light table near our classroom “Safe Place” so students have access to it throughout the day whenever they need a “break”. It will also be utilized as one of our centers during free choice time so that students may explore all it has to offer.
