Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our program has close to 20 children per day along with a play group once a week. We have families from the community who may not be able to have their children in a program due to cost. Our program supports families in crisis , low income and stay at home parents.
This program also offers parenting classes, and we utilize the classroom while families are in classes.
This program helps build up the families from within. The children are supported through the program by being in a loving, caring, educational program where they are supported.
My Project
Adding the light table and accessories to our science area is a great way to promote STEM. Through these activities, the children will create structures and bring counting to life.
Engaging the children at a young age will give them the foundation needed as they get older.
The experiences in preschool will boast confidence and prepare them for challenges ahead.
Our program lets children explore activities through play. Play helps foster critical thinking, management and team work. The light table and accessories will keep students engaged as we change out accessories to keep the area exciting. I know the class will love the new addition.
