Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our STEAM Makerspace is a new innovative space where students will learn to design, explore, engineer and a lot more.

Our school is medium sized in population, but filled with students who have a love for innovation and learning!

Our school is a Title I, with students who come from a variety of different economic backgrounds. Over 73% of our students receive free lunch. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics with 14% of our students with disabilities and 7% in the gifted and talented program. We are also home to a STEAM program where our students conduct research regularly and complete projects for Project Based Learning in their classrooms.

My Project

My students are fascinated by robotics. Learning standards using robotics is the perfect way to connect what needs to be learned with what they love.

By donating to our project, you will not only help students learn how to build robots but also have a huge impact on student learning.

Bristolbots will be used to combine my students curiosity of robots and how they work with the understanding of circuits.

My students will be able to understand the need for robots in the really world and understand the importance of their circuitry.
