My Students

My students are the kind of kids that make coming to work everyday something to look forward to. They are a diverse group of students who each bring something unique to our classroom. Their willingness to share their thoughts and learn and grow from each other is inspiring.

My Project

My students have been engaged in their science learning this year virtually. I am so proud of their resilience and their ability to take on figuring out science in a whole new way. That being said, there have been some roadblocks that have prevented us from doing our work the way we would if we were together in person. One of those is all students having access to the materials needed to engage in investigations for themselves.

These flashlights and clipboards will allow them to conduct investigations with the proper tools in their own homes.

My students have been investigating the properties of light, these tools will give them the opportunity to experience data collection and observation first hand.
