My Students

I love where I work. Not only do we have a wonderful staff, but the students are simply amazing. The students love to try new things and explore. They always give their best and work very hard. I am so very proud of my students.

At my school, 100% of students receive a free breakfast and lunch.

They come to school and eat breakfast. This helps them to be focused for the day ahead of them. They work so hard for me, and I want to create an environment that reflects the hard work they put in while at school by providing them with fun and engaging tools to use.

My Project

These materials will be used in conjunction with our science unit about light! The students will learn how light is used to help living things grow, to help see, and to make shadows. My students will even use light to communicate. Students will be creating their own way to talk to each other through light. They will have the opportunity to try out their findings by using flashlights as a way of communication. They will also be learning about shadows. They will be investigating why some shadows are bigger and why some are smaller. They will be using the flashlights to explore different ways we can use light!
