My Students

I teach kindergarten at a low income, high poverty school. Eighty percent of our students are on free or reduced lunch. I teach seventeen kindergartners who are energetic, active and eager to learn. We dance, move and use lots of different tools to promote and enhance learning.

My goal is to create a classroom is to have more engaged and active learners in my classroom.

I would love to have a light table and manipulatives for the table. I want my students to be able to explore and investigate. A light table will allow my students to use work with other students and be more hands on.

My Project

My students love exploring and playing with sensory materials. We would love a light table so we can be more hands-on. This will help improve our engagement and appeal to all learning styles.

The light table will be large enough for three to four friends to sit around and work together as a team to explore ideas.

It will support active learning and conversation. The light sensory complete set will allow the students to explore lights and colors in a more exciting way. The alphabet tiles will allow students to work on letter formation. Please support our learning and help fund our project!
