My Students

My school is one of the ones you think about when you hear the song “Small Town” by John Mellencamp. Opening in 1959 as a junior high school, the school quickly became home to everyone in the community. In 1971, it was converted into an elementary school and continues to this day. In its 59th year, the school is home to just over 650 students (3K-5th grade). The teaching staff is inspiring the students to be world-class in everything they do.

Many students dream of being on stage and performing their talent for their friends, piers and family.

The Fine Arts are also an important piece of the growth of our students. When they realize their talent, it will set them on a course for excellence.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Every artist was first an amateur”.

Many of our students are talented in the arts and it is up to us as teachers and staff to give every opportunity to help each student realize their full potential. Excellence is the goal, anything less is missing the mark. We are seeing as each student loves the arts they are inspired to do their personal best!

My Project

The school auditorium is a place that ALL of the students perform. In every area of Fine Arts, each student in the school will grace the platform. The theatrical lighting system is 15+ years old and is in a state of disrepair…and is not working. We would like to install a new LED light system that will put our students in the spotlight. Your help is desperately needed.

This project will brighten the student’s day.

Every dollar counts and will make a HUGE difference in helping the students to develop the artist within. When we have the tools we need, we are unstoppable!
