I am excited to work with a diverse group of nine EC Pre-K students! I have the wonderful opportunity to work in a public Title I school in NC. We are a military connected school, as well as a CEP school, where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch each day.
While my students have socioeconomic and developmental abilities that vary, it does not limit their love and curiosity for learning!
My loving group of Pre-K students has a range of abilities including being developmentally delayed, autistic, as well as a wide range of behavioral issues. While they have areas that they are working on such as potty training and speech, they have a curiosity about learning about the world around them each day.
It is my goal to help my students meet developmental milestones while creating a learning environment that is caring and promotes a love of learning. I always look to build upon my students' strengths to help them get to the next level.
In my EC Pre-K classroom, it's important for me to provide learning experiences that will help my young learners grow socially, emotionally and meet their developmental milestones. This project will help my students grow and develop important fine motor skills.
In pre-K, my students learn by being actively engaged with the environment.
This will help my students grow socially and emotionally as they manipulate and build different structures and buildings with the Magna-Tiles. The vibrant and clear colors of the Magna-Tiles will engage my students' critical thinking, as well as creativity, as we discuss and talk about the shapes and buildings they are constructing. It is my goal to use the Magna-Tiles in conjunction with our classroom light table panel. This will help engage my students in repetitive activities so I can build upon their language skills.
I'm truly excited about being able to offer my students this important activity to help with their growth and development! To my future donors thank you all for helping to improve the lives of my students with Magna-Tiles!
