My Students

I am beyond excited to teach in a Blended VPK class room for the 2018-19 school year. This group of 20 students, both special needs and typically developing children, are happy, active, and eager to learn and grow.

The VPK year is and important one, and we are always looking for new and exciting ways to help our students grow!

In the whole world, technology is important, and increasingly present. Technology is also an important part of learning. Adding additional forms of technology to our classroom will go a long way in further developing the whole student.

My Project

This project, of adding a light table and accessories to our classroom, will create a fun and active center. Students of this age become much more engaged in play activities, and this project will enable students to play while learning independently, without even realizing it.

Students will build and identify ABCs and 123s, as well as build shapes and patterns, creatively on the table, as it glows below their work.

Developing these skills will build confidence and social skills as students work together to accomplish a task. They will also translate into developing literacy, math and science skills, and offer the students and easy way to demonstrate their increased knowledge.
