Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is an interesting mix of culture and all creative races who have the burning Spartan Spirit! We engage ourselves in STEM-based activities specializing in the field of Robotics and Computer Science. It amazes me how young minds think about great things that can help their community! Every day is a day to look forward to in class due to the number of things to learn and do, to accomplish a task.
In our class-home we develop a family that can help shape the future of our community!
My Project
In February 2022, Bernalillo Middle School will host another family night called "For the Love of Literacy". At this event students and their families will come to the school for a fun-filled evening to enjoy the setup booth centered on activities related to Literacy in Language Arts and other related subjects.
The STEM students will be trained to create DIY Greeting Cards and apply the skills learned in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
They will then help the families create their cards and use their creative arts and writing skills to show empathy and feelings towards their loved ones!
The personalized "Light-Up Cards to Brighten Someone's Day!" will definitely put Language and STEM Skills into practice while building a strong bond between people.
