My Students

I have the absolute best students this year. They are always excited to be in school and they make my job so fun and worthwhile. We are lacking new material for our centers. Much of what we have are old and are missing pieces. It would mean everything to myself and my students that we keep this spark for learning going by providing them with some new learning tools.

My Project

My students live in a unique place called Utqiagvik, Alaska. It is the northernmost city in the U.S.A.! One thing that we lack here are things to. This makes school all the more important for these crucial years where they are developing social and cognitive skills, through exploration, and play. My pre-K students deserve to have rich learning experiences. This project will help support my students in literacy, math, science, and more. Please consider helping me give my students a new light table center. The light table can be used for everything from open-ended play experiences to arts and crafts, to teaching academic concepts, and more! When you infuse the light table center with opportunities for science, math, literacy, and writing it quickly becomes a powerhouse of learning.
