My students need a Kindle Fire in order to access a variety of apps that reinforce reading skills.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
My classroom consists of students that have emotional and behavioral challenges.
I have third and fourth graders in a self-contained emotional support classroom.
Students that have difficulty with their behavior in the general education setting are placed in my room in order to receive one-on-one and small group instruction. Not only do we work on social skill techniques and how to be more successful behaviorally in school, we also work on the necessary academics.
The students are in need of a device that will allow them to practice various reading and math skills. The Kindle would allow us to download various apps that would be useful for this purpose. We have no type of technology in the room on a full-time basis, so having the Kindle would allow us to use it during independent time and/or within small groups.
Students will be able to practice reading and math skills when working independently at their seat or within a group.
Currently, the students are below grade level academically and any type of device would be a blessing and allow more practice.
