Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Cortical Visual Impairment is a term used to describe a visual impairment that occurs in the brain, not the eye. The wonderful reality of CVI is vision can improve with appropriate interventions.

Using brightly colored, shiny toys on a lightbox allows students to utilize their vision in a more functional way.

In addition, using a lightbox with sensory materials will help my students activate their look and reach reflex. These toys will help students activate their vision while having fun. Incorporating ABC's, Numbers and Shapes on the will allow for learning to occur while utilizing the light box.
