Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom consists of 30 amazing and fun students aged 3 to 5. Many of my students come from low income families, and I am doing everything in my power to give them a rich and enjoyable education. We also educate students with a range of disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, social/emotional challenges, and language barriers. As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Integrating technology into our classroom is a big goal of ours.
I am looking to increase our creative experience by adding blocks/manipulatives for our light table! We want our students to engage in light and color exploration and even inspire scientific inquiry. The students would enjoying building their own creations and seeing them light up!
My Project
My students need manipulatives to use with our light table. Our students will use these materials to explore their curiosities through building and creating, These manipulatives will be used during our free choice time. With these manipulatives, we will also be able to create exciting whole group and small group lessons that will encourage learning and higher level thinking. These materials will excite our students! Your generous donation to our project will improve our Pre-K classroom by building strong scientists. This will change our students' lives for the better. They will love school and feel success at an early age having fun while learning!
