My Students

I teach at a Title I high school in a priority district. All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My classroom is a mixed grade level, as well as, mixed academic level classroom. Therefore my class includes English Language Learners, special education students, a large range of academic abilities and many students who come from a struggling economic environment. These struggles have led to an increase in failing classes and students not attending school. And often when these students do attend they are extremely disengaged. Our students, like all students, deserve learning opportunities and access to information to help them become successful, contributing members of society. Our students are full of passion, energy, and excitement. They take pride in their successes, especially when overcoming obstacles. They always are very excited to try new technology but have extremely limited means to do so since most live around the poverty line. And I take pride and joy in the challenge of finding ways to meet their personal needs in order to help them achieve.

My Project

Light filters set a relaxing atmosphere for learning. A good choice for individuals who are sensitive to light. The physical environment of the classroom is a major contributor to student performance and classroom lighting plays an important role, and diffuse the harsh glare of fluorescent lighting. These light filters will decrease glare and flickering from fluorescent lights, helpful in reducing the headaches, and eye strain caused by the lights.

Improve focus in classrooms, create a calm and relaxing environment for working and studying.

These filters are certified safe, SGS CPAI84 certified, the fluorescent light filter diffuser covers made of flame-retardant fabric for safety, flame retardant certification included in each package.
