Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
At my school, "Every Student Counts and Every Day Brings a New Success!" Our students come to school each and every day ready to take on the world and to learn, challenging themselves to be better than they were the day before!
As an educator in my 3rd year of service, it is such a blessing to be able to work alongside the best student scholars and educators in the country!
My school is committed to providing its students with all of the resources that are needed to engage students in rigorous, dynamic and inspirational instructional activities. There may be times when we do not have what we need, but we have taken on the "We can't yet..." not a "We can't..." attitude. My Project
We recently purchased our first light table, but we don't have the supplies yet to be able to use them to their full potential. With this project, we hope to change that. Lakeshore Learning has some brilliant math and reading manipulatives that we would love for our students to learn and explore.
When students have access to exciting and hands-on learning activities, then the learning in the classroom is taken to a whole new level.
Students will be able to trace uppercase and lowercase letters as they not only learn handwriting skills, but letter recognition as well. They will be able to trace basic sight words/cvc words. There are also so many counting, sorting, patterning, number recognition, etc. options to choose from with these kits that we are requesting. I believe they would be extremely beneficial for our students.
