My school encompasses a population with diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds. The students are very progressive and self-motivated in a school culture which promotes the thought that all means all.
I firmly believe that all students deserve an equitable chance to learn.
My classes cover 165 students a day. These students come from all tiers into my mainstream classroom and are often taught intrinsically through the socialization process when it comes to community and civic responsibility. Nothing could be better to prepare for the real world.
My Project
It was always my intention to put together an end of the year project to add more titles to the esports club at our site. After talking with a few other teachers who also have some credits to apply before the year ends, we thought it would be nice for the kids to hear that we are still building our inventory and looking forward to a time when everyone can game in person once more. When things started to shut down, many of my outgoing seniors chose to withdraw items lent for communal use. I'm looking to replace and expand with several key students in mind.
Honestly, it's about time the kids had some good news.
This project is mostly a wish list from underclassmen who have been communicating thoughts for next year. Included are a few replacement titles, some new RPGs to satisfy student curiosity given the current fervor for such titles, and a Switch Lite to provide integration for students struggling with socialization. Though these titles won't be used until next year as this is a standard project to be received at the school site, it's going to do wonders for morale when I tell my club that things are still growing.
