Lifting for Safety

My students need rubberized fractional weights to safely increase their capabilities.

My Students

Our School is quite unique in nature. Many of our students are bused in from outside neighborhoods and come from a low socioeconomic back ground. Students at our school represent over 15 different countries and languages and the language barrier can be a barrier for us as teachers when teaching.

My students specifically are focused on health, strength, and conditioning.

My classroom serves the general population students as well as every sports team on the campus. With these types of numbers running through the classroom on a daily basis our gear gets used more than most. The activities that we perform in our classroom get used in a physical manner which means much of the equipment gets a lot of wear an tear on it. This makes for quite a turnover in equipment.

My students work very hard and come from all walks of life. The great part about this class is that it functions as a central place for students with a common goal. This creates an amazing community and brings students together that would not otherwise socially work together.

My Project

I am asking for 2.5 and 5 pound rubberized fractional weights. These materials will allow my students to become more precise and safe with their lifting abilities. Currently we have a few sets of steel weights in these sizes. Getting a full set will increase an athlete's chance to know exactly how much they can lift, as well as go up in a safe and reasonable manner on their lifting capabilities.

Rubber weights are much safer to work with in a school environment.

They have no corners or steel burrs to scratch the student as well as the equipment. Receiving rubber weights would fast forward our program in results and safety.
