Mr. Legare from Johns Island SC is requesting instructional technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a wireless microphone system to lift their voices and be heard.

My classes are eighty students from middle income to a low-poverty area. Most of my students are reluctant learners and have a preconceived notion that history is boring. I do know history can be a boring subject. So for the last four years, I have been making my class extremely interactive.
My students role-play and create skits to show what they are learning in history.
My students learn how to write skits, create a storyboard, how to communicate, teamwork, and many more skills. I would like to take their experience to the next level and have them produce videos that can be used to teach other students.
I live in South Carolina and teach SC history, There are not many resources online that kids enjoy watching that they can learn from. I want to fill that void by creating SC standard based videos that others can use to and study.
This wireless microphone system will give our students the confidence to lift their voices. These microphones will be used in various ways to give our students confidence to make their voices heard. These microphones will be used during our theatrical performances, educational videos, educational music videos , and through our debates. You will be amazed the power a student feel once they have a microphone in their hand. They feel as if they can finally be heard. As adults we know the fear of lifting your voice in front of a crowd. These microphones will help our students gain the confidence to lift their voices.
