My students need book bins with a variety of books they choose at their reading level to read independently during our 90 minute reading block.
This project expired on November 10, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students are wonderfully creative and imaginative thinkers. They amaze me with their innovative ideas and creativity! They are energetic and eager to learn!
My students love to learn from one another, and they are very collaborative, cooperative learners.
We participate in many small group learning activities, and they are always respectful and thoughtful toward one another. We have a very diverse classroom which makes our learning community even more special. These students are smart, motivated to learn, and passionate third graders!
Each student in my 3rd grade classroom will have their own book bin to load with "good fit" books from our classroom library. Once a week each student will go to our classroom library to book shop choosing books they want to read during our literacy block.
The books they choose are ones that interest them from all genres.
Because they get to pick their own books to read, they are always reading! Most students fill their book bin with excitement and focus knowing that everyday they will be reading for at least 45 minutes. The book bins overflow with adventures in fiction as well as nonfiction books for learning and teaching others. Please consider helping to prepare my students to be LIFETIME READERS.
