Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Lifesize New York City Landmarks are taking over a second grade classroom! Can you help our second grade classroom in a high needs neighborhood in New York? We are part of an Arts Intensive program at a public school and are always trying to integrate art into our Social Studies and Science curriculum.

For the second year in a row our culminating project will be constructing paper mache models of the Apollo Theatre, Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and the Empire State Building.

Not only does this project center around Art, it also incorporates the History of New York City and recycling. The students are bringing in old boxes and newspapers to construct the framework for the buildings.

Donors: this is your chance to help this project become reality! The paint you donate will provide the finishing touches to paper mache models that make landmarks of our great city come to life!
