My students at DHS in Holly Ridge, N.C deserve to have enough equipment for all the students to participate in class. When all of your students are engaged in physical activity the healthy outcomes are amazing!
These young men and women are a special group of kids that work extremely hard at everything that they do. We want them to excel not only in the classroom now but promote physical activity and healthy choices for an entire lifetime. Our students come from working-class families. Many of these families come from the fishing industry or serve our country in the military.
My Project
The number of PE students that are in a class can increase all the way up to 40 per class, and then some. We want to replace some older equipment that is worn out, as well as get more equipment for all of my students.
As a Health and Physical Education teacher, I want my students to be passionate about all types of sports that increase their physical activity.
Here are some essential reasons on why we think Team Sports are important in Physical Education.
1. It feels good to be part of a team.
2. Team sports reduce obesity and increase overall health.
