My students need additional tablets for our classroom. We have three Amazon Fire tablets but I am looking to have more Amazon Fire tablets available for my students.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is an interesting mixture of mostly African-American and Hispanic children who reside in Harlem. Several of the students are from low to middle income families. The school is in the heart of Harlem and most of the students live within a five to ten block radius from the school.
My class has eight boys and seven girls.
They have been working hard to learn many new concepts in math, literacy, science, and social studies. They want to learn more!
My Project
I want to continue helping my students become Lifelong Learners by having the Amazon Fire tablets available to them so they may utilize some of the reading and math programs that are available online. If technology is readily available, more of my student will have access to using the tablets to assist their learning through the use of online reading and math "games". Most of my students use their parents' cellphones to play games and may feel comfortable using tablets as an additional source for reading and mathematics. The tablets will be used during independent reading and math time. As the students gain confidence in their ability to work independently, they will be better prepared for the next stages of their education.
