Our students are future engineers and computer programmers learning twenty-first century skills in our STEM/STEAM lab. We have gifted and talented students from first to fifth grade. They are engaged and excited when using hands-on activities to bring new skills to life. They are getting experience in robotics, coding, engineering and more.
Seeing the smiles on their faces when they have a breakthrough is priceless.
Our students face many challenges coming from low family income homes where they are economically disadvantaged.
My Project
Funding for this project would allow me to learn more about paper circuits using a microcontroller, electronic stickers, conductive tape and craft materials. With this professional development, I will also learn how to code with Microsoft Makecode to program the microcontroller.

My students will be so excited to learn how circuits work as they bring art to life with science and technology. Chibitronics has created a way to blend circuit building and programming with arts and crafts so everyone can create and design their own expressive electronics.
Great teachers never stop learning. I look forward to learning from this course and see my students faces light up when they add lights to their paper circuits. They will blend art, engineering, technology and science starting with a simple piece of paper.
