My Project

Our class pet, Jeremy, the Guinea Pig brings so much joy to our classroom. I was hesitant to add the extra work of a pet, but it has proven to be one of the best things I have done for my students. Our pet makes us laugh everyday.

He is often called on to comfort a student who is having a rough time.

It is not uncommon to find him tucked into the hoodie pocket of a student.

Having a pet has created a classroom environment of caring and kindness.
