Every day, I welcome a group of bilingual students who appreciate everything that they are exposed to. Many of my students are economically disadvantaged with little or no ability to speak or read the English language. They are students whose background knowledge is limited. However, these factors are not an impediment for them to learn and succeed. They come every day eager to learn and give their 100 percent.
My students are anxious and impatient to learn every day!
They are willing to put in the extra effort to succeed in life. They are an amazing group, and I am so lucky to have a group that is thrilled to learn new things every day.
My Project
This year my goal is to encourage students to let go of their imagination and expand their vocabulary through books. My students love reading books every opportunity they have, so I want to take advantage of this and help my students increase their vocabulary. Reading books is vital all students.
The more my students read, the more words they will gain exposure to, and they'll inevitably make their way into their everyday vocabulary.
