Help me give my students balance beams to improve their gross motor skills!

Hooray! This project is fully funded
We are a group of Occupational and Physical Therapists (Miss Liz, Miss Azzey, Miss Michele, Miss Autumn, Miss Chelsea, and Miss Carolyn) working in a public preschool program. In our program there are 17 classroom, 3 of which are considered to be high intensity. We have kiddos with diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and developmental delays who learn and play along with students without disabilities. Some days are more challenging than others, as our friends have a hard time with regulating their bodies on their own. Every student's sensory needs to are met differently, some craving a lot of movement, and some needing more help to keep their attention during the school day.
These balance beams and stability pads will give our students more options to work on their balance during gross motor times in our sensory motor rooms, giving them greater ability to navigate obstacles within their classrooms and out on the playground. Often our students have limited exposure to uneven surfaces, like grass and dirt to play on, and have difficulty accommodating to surface changes when moving about their environment. Additionally, many of our students with disabilities have vision differences which make it difficult for them to manage changes in surface height or depth. Please consider helping our PreK students grow and thrive!
