My Students
First graders are eager to learn and are full of energy. I have a diverse group of children with many strengths and areas of growth, both academic and social. I strive to meet their needs with a welcoming environment, engaging learning, comfortable seating, and a plethora of reading materials.

My Project
We challenge our students to run 100 miles per year, focusing on health and fitness. We run several times per week. In order to optimize student and teacher time, we need a program to track our laps.
Students love having their student IDs scanned! With this program, we use handheld scanners as students complete each lap. The program tracks the miles. It also allows us to set goals. In addition, parents have access at home so they always know where their child is in relation to the goal. At the end of the year, we can even print individualized certificates!
