Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have wonderful students who are willing to learn. They deserve to have the best materials that students need in order to have a good foundation to become lifelong learners. I would love for you to join me in making it possible for them to have a great preschool experience full of hands-on materials that develop critical thinking and socio-emotional learning.
We are currently doing distance learning with my students.
The parents had been excellent support in this endeavor but without the structured classroom environment with carefully prepared materials, my students need extra help in maximizing their learning at home.
My Project
Being that we are doing 100% distance learning with my students, I will be sending these materials to the children to use at home. My project will help make a deeper connection with the ocean unit as the children study and manipulate them at home either by sorting and studying their characteristics. We will be reading about ocean animals using books that support this activity in 5-6 weeks. I am requesting for giant ocean floor puzzles for my students. I am planning to use the puzzles during small group activities to develop spatial and analytical skills by putting puzzle pieces together.
With these materials, my students will get to have visual and tactile experiences about animals that live in the ocean that will further their learning.
Thank you for supporting my project in this challenging time!
