From the exterior, one can tell my students are awesome by their outlook on life. They are quick to smile, show affection, and like all students crave positive interactions with both their community and peers. Anyone that knows my students will say that they do not have a mean bone in their bodies. Some might say that it takes an enormous amount of patience to serve this kind of population, but when you have the students I do and you try and see from their position, the development of purpose and perspective almost automatically take place.
Our purpose is to highlight a student's needs, make a plan to improve the quality of resources given, and implement a guide to lead them towards a brighter tomorrow.
This is only done by getting to know who my students are, learning how to attain the best tools, and finding a way to reach them. With your help, we will be able to reach even further.
My Project
The Kindle will provide a technological way for one of my students to stay engaged in her reading. The protective case is to ensure the device will last throughout her junior and senior years. There are many reasons we have chosen to get this for her now. Firstly, she does not have a device with her name on it and she would greatly benefit from having one.
She will be able to listen to stories, participate more by flipping pages, and have other educational apps related to her interests.
There are apps that allow her to push a button to greet others, to say thank you, and to play her favorite interactive games as a preferred choice activity.
The caterpillar set is to observe and see how their life cycle begins and go through metamorphosis.
