I have an amazing group of second grade students! My students are part of a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program which allows English learners and English proficient students to receive instruction in English and in Mandarin to develop academic proficiency. Like most classrooms, I have a very diverse group of students. Our school is a Title I school, with a very high level of poverty. Although they are surrounded by poverty, they eagerly come to school and work very hard. They know that through education they will be able to better their lives. Students and parents do not have the financial means to provide essentials. Help me bring in the necessary materials to help my students succeed in school.
My Project
Kids are natural scientists. They're curious, and they like to learn new skills. They're also open to exploring the natural world. That is why our unit on habitats around the world is so important. My students need an iPad Mini to help them investigate and explore the different habitats on Earth. Students will use the Ipad to "fly" anywhere in the planet and zoom in to see our world habitats in rich colors. The iPad Mini will also be used to do research, stream short videos, and create class presentations.
Through your donations, I will be able to provide my students with visual exploration as they learn about the different natural environments of plants and animals.
