My Students

My students are 4th graders from a low-income area. They are sweet and have wonderful friendships with each other and truly love to help one another. They love every opportunity they get to create something for another person and are very generous in many ways. They look out for each other.

My students also love to read.

Our weekly trip to our school library is always highly anticipated and they are so excited about their new books when they get back to class!

My Project

Our classroom library could use some fresh, high interest books. Students will be so excited for these great titles and will be able to borrow them at any time. Students get to check out books from the school library on a weekly basis, but they also rely on our classroom library for books.

My students will also benefit greatly from some hands on games to promote social interaction and skills for indoor recess and free time as an alternative to computers.

My students love to interact with one another and this will give them more opportunities to do so, while honing their social skills.
