Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In this school, I teach grades two through five, which is about three hundred students. I am the librarian and the students are very eager to read the newest books that come out and experience the latest technology.

We are in a Title I school with limited funds.

I have a limited budget which limits what I can order for the library. The students are in of need simple things that will help them participate in what they love to do.

My Project

A lot of my students are English language learners and are not able to read that well. Many websites that we use have a feature where the student can press a button and the website will read the text to them. Currently, they cannot use this feature because the library does not have headphones for computers. Also, we can't do certain activities like watching educational or instructional videos because there are no headphones. Also, some of the educational games are motivational music and sound effects that the students would like to enjoy while they are engaged in the game.
